Wake Forest at Maryland (Over 51) - 9:00am Pacific
Two high scoring teams matched up here. Maryland comes in ranked 44th nationally in total offense (387 yards per game) and 22nd in scoring offense (32.42 points per game). Wake Forest comes in ranked 26th in total offense (405.18 yards per game) and 57th in scoring (27.64 points per game). The two teams combined average over a touchdown more than the posted total. Neither team has a defense to write home about. Maryland defense just gave up 48 points to Virginia and the Wake defense just gave up 27 points to hapless Navy last week.

Maryland is -600 on the money line to win this game outright so lets just assume that they will. In 9 games this season that Maryland has won, they have averaged 40.6 points scored. The average total score of 5 games that Wake Forest has lost this season is 61.8!

Terps head coach Friedgen has called this Maryland offense the quickest scoring team he has ever coached. Maryland has only lost four regular season games under Friedgen and following the previous three, Maryland has come back to average 45.3 points per game in the following week. After dismal performance at Virginia last week, this offense will be ready. The same cannot be said for the Wake defense who will be without star senior defensive end Calvin Pace. Pace was one sack away from the school's all time record and already holds the school record for tackles for loss. Wake defense has already struggled at times this year when healthy. Could be pretty ugly without their best player. They are also missing a pair of LB's and a DB for this game. Starting FS Quintin Williams will play with a broken hand. I expect this game to hit around 60 or more.
