REASONS TO JOIN
Reasons to join Right Angle Sports:

1. Focus on college sports - One sport at a time philosophy: With so many college football and college basketball teams, players, and coaches to follow during the season, our handicapping work is NEVER finished. Yet most prominent sports handicappers claim to be experts not only in college sports, but also in pro football, pro basketball, baseball, and sometimes even hockey, all of which directly coincide with the college football and basketball seasons.  We have no idea how they do this! At RAS, we are not concerned with volume or sales, but rather what gives us the most advantage in our handicapping. In 2006, we began ending the college football service after 8 weeks. We feel our biggest edge is during the first half of the college football season, and our time in late October and early November is more valuable spent preparing for the upcoming college basketball season.
2. Integrity & Reputation:  RAS has established a 13 year reputation for honesty and integrity.  All plays are continually documented at third party websites and we now (2008) post all plays on our website no later than 10 minutes after start time for additional monitoring.  All plays with available write-ups and records are archived from current and past seasons on the Pick Archive page of our website. RAS is endorsed by several well known names in the industry, even by some competitors. Please review our Industry Quotes page for details.
3. Handicapping Information:  RAS has always taken pride in providing detailed, informative, and insightful analysis, in fact it is something we have been known for since our inception in 1996. However, beginning with the 2008-09 college basketball season we will no longer provide write-ups with plays. This is being done in an effort to allow more time for handicapping and to preserve certain information and methods for future service use. The end result will be opportunity for more plays and potential for more units earned. We still publish www.CollegeInjuryReport.com which is easily the best source for college football and college basketball injury information on the web.
4. Responsible Marketing:  RAS focuses marketing on long term performance, not short term. We encourage all customers to judge the service the same way. Beginning in 2008 we will no longer offer single day or single week packages. Plays are only released when a clear advantage is determined and never just for the sake of action or the possibility of increased sales.  We do not hype games or use misleading terminology such as "locks" or "game of the year". We use a strict conservative unit rating system (our average unit size is what it should be, 1.0 UNIT). We do not inflate unit totals with 3, 4, 5, or even higher unit plays as done by most of our competitors. We are a standalone service and not a handicapping portal who features several handicappers covering multiple sports. Such portals always have at least one capper who is "hot" or is doing well in one particular sport. They mislead customers with a heavy emphasis on short term win streaks while rarely displaying long term records or losing records of any kind. With RAS, what you see is what you get. All of our plays and records are published daily and yearly, win or lose.
5. Fair Grading & Recordkeeping: All plays are released and graded with a conservative widely available consensus line from top sportsbooks at time of release. If we are releasing an OVER, and five sportsbooks have 136, and five sportsbooks have 136.5, we will release and grade with the higher number. Many competiors will inflate their records with stale or "rogue" lines that are not widely available to the public.
6. Winning Records & Closing Line Value: RAS College Football Plays have produced a 55.14% win rate over the last four seasons (2005-08). RAS College Basketball Plays have produced a 57.43% win rate over the last three seasons (2005-07). Even more evidence of likely future success is how consistently RAS plays beat the closing line. In 2008, our college football release line beat the closing line by 2.65 points per pick and no one comes close to our closing line value in college basketball. Sportsbooks and professional bettors use closing line value to identify "sharp" action. It is often a better indicator than win percentage from a small sample size. Read more about closing line value here.
7. Customer Service/Convience:  RAS can be reached anytime via e-mail or toll free phone at 866-321-WINS (9467).  I do my very best to personally answer all inquiries professionally and promptly. RAS sends advanced warnings and plays via e-mail and text message so you can always stay connected to the service no matter where you are.
8. Low Pricing/Best Value:  Despite rare long term success and huge growth in popularity in recent years, RAS subscription rates remain lower than most industry competition. You will not find a better value!
