Virginia Tech - Starting WR Eddie Royal (toe) has been upgraded to expected to play, but will not start. Rutgers - Starting CB Jason McCourty (ankle) did not practice much this week and is doubtful to start, questionable to play vs Illinois Saturday. NC State - Top CB A.J. Davis (hamstring) is doubtful Saturday vs Akron. Central Michigan - Starting QB Brian Brunner (concussion) will not play Saturday vs Michigan. Freshman QB Dan LeFevour is expected to start. LeFevour saw extensive action vs BC in opener accounting for 290 yards of offense and three TD's. Wake Forest - Starting QB Ben Mauk (elbow) will miss the remainder of the season. Top DE Matt Robinson (knee cap) missed last game and remains sidelined indefinitely. Ole Miss - Starting DL Chris Bowers (foot) reinjured in last game and is doubtful Saturday vs Missouri. Mississippi State - Starting QB Michael Henig (collarbone) injured last game and is expected out 6-8 weeks. Starting RB Anthony Dixon (hand) is sidelined indefinitely. Miami Ohio - Starting RB Brandon Murphy (ankle) missed last game and is doubtful to play Saturday. Purdue - Starting WR and return man Kyle Ingraham (academics) is out for the season. Starting strong safety Torri Williams (knee) was injured last game and is expected to miss the season. Louisville - Starting RB Michael Bush (leg) injured last game and is expected out for the season. Starting DT Adrian Grady (fibula) is out 2-4 weeks. Kent State - Starting QB Michael Machen (shoulder) is out indefinitely. Machen narrowly won the starting job over JC transfer Julian Edelman who will now take over. Northern Illinois - Defensive linemen Zach Holycross (finger) and Craig Rusch (foot) are both doubtful Saturday vs Ohio U. Virginia - Top WR Deyon Williams missed last game and remains out 3-5 weeks. UCLA - Starting DB Michael Norris (knee) is doubtful Saturday vs Rice. Starting WR Joe Cowan (knee) missed last game and is doubtful Saturday. Clemson - Starting LB Trimaine Billie (ankle) and starting LB Anthony Waters (knee) are both out Saturday vs Boston College. Waters and Billie ranked 1st & 3rd on the team in tackles last season. Boston College - Starting QB Matt Ryan (ankle) is expected to be available Saturday but still may not start. Starting DT B.J. Raji (league suspension) will miss the first half. Penn State - Backup RB Austin Scott (possible redshirt) is doubtful Saturday vs Notre Dame. Colorado State - Starting RB Kyle Bell (ACL) is expected to miss the season. Starting center Tim Walter (knee) is doubtful Saturday. Starting WR Dustin Osborn (ankle) is doubtful Saturday. Western Michigan - Starting QB Ryan Cubit, a sixth year senior, is expected to miss Saturday's game vs Toledo with a finger injury. UNLV - Starting kicker Sergio Aguayo (knee) will miss the next 4 weeks. Air Force - Starting FB Jacobe Kendrick (hamstring) is doubtful Saturday vs Tennesseee. Kendrick led the Falcons in non-QB rushing last season. Washington State - Starting CB Don Turner (hip) is doubtful Saturday. Backup CB Markus Dawes (ankle) is doubtful Saturday. Starting RB DeMaundray Woolridge (thigh) is doubtful Sunday. Safety Michael Willis (shoulder) is doubtful Saturday. Two starting defensive linemen who missed last game both remain out: Fevaaea'i Ahmu and Matt Mullennix. East Carolina - Starting DT Brandon Setzer (knee) left last game and will miss 2-4 weeks. Starting LB Pierre Bell (shoulder) missed last game and remains questionable Saturday. Bell is currently listed as a backup on the ECU depth chart. Texas - Starting CB Tarell Brown (personal) is expected to miss Saturday. New Mexico - Starting LB Cody Kase (hamstring) is doubtful Saturday vs New Mexico State. Texas Tech - Starting WR Jarrett Hicks (ineligible) remains doubtful Saturday. Arizona State - Projected starting DE Loren Howard (quad) remains out.
