Northern Arizona (-3) vs Weber State - 5:30pm Pacific - Game #571-572
The Lumberjacks were clearly the second best team in the Big Sky this year. They went through a mini-slump losing 4 of 5 games in early February but rebounded to finish the season with 5 straight wins. Those four losses came by a combined 11 points and key rotation sparkplug guard Jermaine Bishop missed two and was limited in two others. NAU will have the best inside player on the court in senior Kyle Landry and the best point guard on the court in Josh Wilson. As mentioned in earlier write-up NAU coach Mike Adras has said this team has better chemistry than any he has coached in nine seasons here. NAU swept the season series over Weber, including a 13 point road win in Utah. NAU is 7-7 away from home while Weber is just 4-9. NAU is well rested and better acclimated having not played in nine days, while Weber had to play Saturday night before travelling to Portland for tonight's game. The Wildcats won the conference tournament last year, thanks to being at home, and beat NAU in a closely contested final. Expect the Lumberjacks to be the more hungry and motivated team tonight. Give the points.
