Pepperdine at San Francisco (-3.5) - 7:00pm Pacific - Game #713-714
Slovakian born forward Vince Polakovic finally became eligible for San Francisco four games ago and has made an immediate impact. Polakovic has averaged 17.3ppg and given the Dons a badly needed third scoring option. His 31.3 minutes per game average despite shaking off rust early on indicates how badly he was needed. USF has taken care of business in both home games vs bottom level WCC teams, beating Portland by 13, and LMU by 9 here on Saturday. Pepperdine's already super thin lineup lost one of its most important pieces when starting combo guard Rico Tucker suffered a season ending knee injury on Saturday. Tucker led the team in assists and steals and was third in scoring, but more importantly was the upperclassmen leader on a very young team. Pepperdine was sky high for their game Saturday in San Diego as their top three scorers are from the area, but they fell four points short in a hard fought game. Now with just six scholarship players available, the Waves face let down, short rest and the longest inbetween game road trip in the WCC. USF already beat Pepperdine in Malibu earlier this season and have much more favorable circumstances tonight. Give the points.
