Second year head coach Rex Walters has the Owls playing much improved basketball recently. FAU has won 5 of their last 6 games overall with only loss coming by 4 at UALR and own a five game home win streak. Guard Paul Graham was away from the team for over a month in December but is really back in the flow now having scored double figures in five straight games. FAU features one of the top post players in the Sun Belt in Carlos Monroe (16.1ppg, 9.3rpg) who should have a big day against an ASU defense that has struggled to defend in the paint all season. FAU played on Wednesday which gives them an extra day over ASU who played Thursday night. The Indians played an out of the way non-conference game at Utah Valley State three games back and tonight will be playing their third game in six days with each in a different arena. The first of those three was an OT contest and they have now lost six of seven games heading into tonight. ASU's top three players are all less than 100%, leading scorer Banks (ankle), second leading scorer Wedel (knee, 22.5% shooting last 3 games), and leading rebounder Morgan (ankle) have all been limited in recent games. To the dismay of ASU insiders, lame duck coach Nutt played the three players 33, 33, and 29 minutes respectively despite getting blown out by 23 on Thursday. This game will be part of a "pack the house" double header with the women's team playing first. These two teams are going in different directions. Give the points.
