It may not be easy to see on paper, but the Patriots have been the nuts in the CAA in recent weeks. They are coming off a disappointing loss which allows a more affordable price in this spot but prior to that were 6-2 in conference. Both losses came on the road and they had leads of 16 and 19 in each. G Campbell who clashed with head coach early in the season has averaged 19.5ppg in last four. Mason is a perfect 9-0 at home this season, which includes an 11 point win over previously ranked Dayton as well as four conference wins by an average of 29.2 points. A sellout is expected tonight for a rare national TV appearance. VCU has played well of late but has played just six true road games all season and play four freshman in their top nine which could make them vulnerable in this environment vs a class opponent. If hosting first place VCU on ESPN2 wasn't enough motivation, George Mason is playing with triple revenge from last season including the CAA championship game where they blew a 5 point lead in the final minutes. This is the only meeting between the two schools this season and for Mason to have any shot at the regular season title it is a must win. Give the points.
