George Washington at Fordham (-5) - 4:00pm Pacific - Game #725-726
Fordham came into the year with 5 returning starters and high expectations but have been one of the A-10's most underachieving teams. To their credit their last three losses came against quality teams on the road at Georgetown, Duquense, and Xavier and prior to that faced an inspired UNC Greensboro team who had three seniors making a rare homecoming to the New York area. If the Rams are ever going to turn things around with a win it will be tonight. George Washington is still a major play against in their current form especially on the road. The Colonials are winless away from home this year with the average loss by 22.6 points. The loss of starting PG King in the offseason has left this team without quality guard play and no identity on offense (GW has 50 more turnovers than assists this season). Guard Beatty and forward Moore, two players who have shown promise, found themselves in the coaches doghouse last game and did not see the floor. Walk-on PG Lee is averaging 10 minutes per game despite having made just one shot all season. Even in surprising win over SLU on Saturday, GW shot just 40% and only got to the free throw line three times. Expect Fordham to notch their first conference win of the season tonight. Give the points.

Cal State Northridge (-9.5) at UC Riverside - 7:00pm Pacific - Game #791-792
The Matadors are coming off yet another impressive conference win, beating Pacific by 17 on Saturday. They are now 4-0 in Big West play, their best start in 17 years. After several consecutive disappointing seasons this is still a very hungry program and they are not about to allow a letdown here. Despite CSUN's impressive play of late, we find a discounted line here due to CSUN playing their third game in seven days and being without starting forward Chitwood (ankle). Neither will matter against a horrible UCR team. CSUN still has plenty of firepower and depth even without Chitwood and they have the rare combination of uptempo style and good defense (#1 in Big West) that is sure to give UCR fits. The Highlanders have been horrible on offense, having only reached 60 points vs a D-1 team once all year. They have averaged just 53 points in last five games. Their defense has been almost just as bad and they have been very turnover prone with a true freshman getting most of the minutes at point guard. Top scorer and best player senior G/F Cunningham has really struggled in recent games and in last game had his shooting wrist heavily taped before going 3-for-12 in a season low 19 minutes. UCR enjoys very little home court advantage, losing to CS Bakersfield by 18 and CS Fullerton by 30 in last two home tries. Enough CSUN fans to be a factor will be in attendance. Expect a double digit win. Give the points.
