George Mason vs North Carolina (Over 138.5) - 11:20am Pacific - Game #571-572
George Mason put up 75 points on Michigan State in round one despite making only 12-of-26 free throws and playing without second leading scorer Tony Skinn due to a one game suspension. The Patriots had balanced scoring with four players in double figures, and Skinn, a senior guard, is expected to play off the bench today. GMU has put up sparkling defensive numbers this season but have done so mainly in a low scoring, slow paced league. Against more athletic, offensive minded teams their defense is not nearly as effective. North Carolina has been pushing the ball all season long. They played poorly in round one against Murray State but while many are quick to blame it on a young team being nervous, it should also be noted that Murray State has a very defensive minded head coach. The Racers held a high scoring Tennessee team to just 64 points early in the season. Look for UNC to get closer to their 80ppg season average in round two. Play the over.
