Marquette at Louisville (-3) - 4:00pm Pacific - Game #733-734
It has been a disappointing season for Louisville but this is a game they are more than capable of winning. The Cardinals have been playing well despite alternating wins and losses in last six games. They have won all three home games in the span, four straight home games overall, and have fought hard in each of three tough recent road losses including a four point heartbreaker at #16 West Virginia on Saturday. This is a game they have to get in order to qualify for the Big East tournament. It is also senior day for well liked guard and leading scorer Taquan Dean so Louisville should have no problem getting up for this one. Marquette has had a great season but is coming off an emotional road win at Notre Dame on Saturday. They are a young team and it is unlikely they will be able to duplicate a similar effort in back to back hostile environments, especially against a much more defensive minded team (Louisville is 5th in the BE in FG% defense, Notre Dame is 13th). Even after the Notre Dame win, the Golden Eagles are only 3-4 in Big East road games and just 3-6 in true road games overall on the season. This is a great situation for Louisville to put everything together. Give the points.
