Cal Poly at UC Riverside (Over 153.5) - 12:15pm - Game #769-770UC Riverside games are now averaging 147.46 points a game, and 151.25 at home where they figure to always shoot better.  Both stats still do not count the 115-111 game with Division I-AAA Puget Sound.  Cal Poly games are averaging 144.4.  This figures to be the highest scoring Big West matchup of the season.  These are two of the worst defensive teams in the country.  UCR allows opponents to shoot .518 from the field and gives up 84.8ppg.  Cal Poly allows opponents to shoot .455 from the field and gives up 76.3ppg.  UCR is coming off a 159 total score vs UCSB on Monday despite the fact that the Gauchos played a zone defense most of the second half and slowed the pace of the game considerably.  There were 84 points scored in the first half and most of the time it is the second half when more points are scored.  Riverside has been more competitive in recent games and figures to be again today which means fouls and free throws will again be a factor late.  We all know that UCR wants to play at as fast a pace as possible, but Cal Poly also has been willing to participate in high scoring games.  The Mustangs have already been in games this year that finished with totals of 162, 163, and 170.  They scored 53 points in the second half vs Fullerton on Monday with a final game total of 153 despite cold shooting by CSF.  This one should get in to the 160's without much problem.  Play the over.
